Monkey Island! Well, the first 3. I got stuck 5 minutes in to the 4th one (I wasn't used to the 3d graphics so spent 15 minutes trying to get Guybrush to walk through a door, and he kept walking into the frame.
The Ace Attorney Series. You play a laywer in the future, and you have to defend clients who look very very guilty (but 99% of times, they're not). Also, because the police force is shit and legal system a bit screwy, you have to [strike]steal[/strike] collect, your own evidence to help make your case. There are bits that piss me off, for me, at least, like, I get places where I want to object, but can't explain why I object or how evidence A contradicts or has relevance to statement B. It's either the right piece of evidence to the right statement (however bizarrely), or automatic health loss. And if it's the right evidence and right statement, PW (and possibly Apollo, but not got to that one yet), just goes off on one about it, even if it's not for the reason I thought it might be.
Fire Emblem. I've only played the GBA and DS ones, which have been released outside Japan (so FE 7, 8, and 9), but they're lots of fun, turn based strategy RPG esque games. They can be Nintendo Hard, especially since, if a character dies, there's no way to bring them back, so it means resetting the entire level.
